Last year's Cleo 50 most eligible bachelor and Kovan zha FIT ren Yew Teng. This year's Cleo 50 Most Eligible Bacherlor cum Singapore's most passionate Liverpool supporter Siu Kwok. As usual, players of other races are usually segregated away from each other and our country's leaders can look no further than our neighbourhood street soccer courts to verify results of their efforts to create racial harmony. Matches between Malays and Chinese are always most fiercely fought at the street soccer court and to not disappoint you my Chinese readers,I can proudly say that we have flown the Chinese flag well and 98% of the time we managed to beat the Malays. The talent scout from Balestier Khalsa FC. Always on the lookout for new blood and talent. When the ball ends up in the drain accidentally after 1 of my powerful shots rebound off the goalkeeper, Jared is always enlisted to get into the drain and get the ball. Here, his version of Season's Greetings to all of BigBroHu's readers. Everyone's favourite blogger preparing to chest the ball and let fly ala Drogba vs Liverpool. His marker just gasping and staring at his bamboozling skills. Preparing to pick his spot in goal.Just for your information, the ball did end up at the top corner of the net. Holding up the ball in Viduka manner. Jared is not going to touch the ball in a thousand years. After a calorie-burning workout, tonight it's time for more healthy activities with Mambo night at Zouk. See you guys there.
Often,on Saturday afternoons, we can be found engaging in healthy acitivities like street soccer at Kovan. The purpose is to detox our bodies after a wild night of alcohol-fuelled partying in Zouk,or just simply to sweat it out and keep fit to prepare for our next big fight in the clubs.
Anyway, we have been doing this since the second half of last year and my heartfelt appreciation to Russel,Kitty,Melvin and co. for organising this football bonanza so regularly. It is no mean feat getting all of us lazy bums to congregate and play soccer and though our punctuality is still a problem worth thinking about, it is always satisfying when we leave the place with aching legs, telling us that we had a good workout. Many thanks to Yew Teng too, for constantly providing us with 'changing room' facilities at his place albeit us sweating like Hadeck after finishing 3 bowls of hot spicy Laksa. Just remember to lock your gates when you go for holidays.
A picture tells a thousand words. So here it goes.
